Article VIII of the Charter provides for a Planning Commission. The Commission shall consist of not less than five nor more than fifteen members who shall be residents of the City of Alvin. The members shall be appointed for a three-year term with one-third to be appointed each year on a continuing basis. The duties are set out in the Charter. On 09/26/2002 City Council decided to leave the Planning Commission to seven members.
