Regular Garbage Collection - Residential curbside garbage and brush are normally collected on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday and include:

• Brush cut in lengths of 5 feet or less, tied in bundles not exceeding 18 inches in diameter, weighing no more than 50 pounds, and placed no more than 5 feet from the edge of the roadway on regular collection days at no charge.
  
• Junk or trash generated by ordinary maintenance of a household, but too large for container, items weighing no more than 50 pounds and that are able to be picked up by two people.
  
• For curbside pickup use trash bags only (No trash cans allowed).
  
• If trash collection falls on a holiday, it is skipped until the following pickup.

Locate your address on the map. Identify the color designated for your area. Determine the pickup day below based on the map color corresponding with your address:

Yellow.........Monday & Thursday Pick Up
Red.............Tuesday & Friday Pick Up

Monthly Curbside Collection of Brush & Heavy Trash - A maximum of 6 cubic yards (approximately the size of a Volkswagen) will be picked up once a month per household. Heavy trash items are defined as:

• Junk or trash generated by ordinary maintenance of a household, but too large for container.
  
• Appliances (Freon removed and properly tagged by licensed professional).
  
• Drained hot water heaters, furniture, carpet.
  
• Brush does not have to be cut, bundled or tied, but must be separated from heavy trash.
  
• If Monday is a holiday, the pickup day will be the Saturday before the holiday.
  

The once a month residential heavy trash pickup needs to be set out by 7:00 am on the appropriate Monday, according to your address.

IESI will continue to pick up brush that is piled at the curb, uncut and is more than 6 cubic yards twice per month for a fee of $11.12 per cubic yard. Prior to collection of any such brush, IESI will affix a bright neon tag onto the pile. The resident must contact IESI to remove the brush for the appropriate fee or remove the brush within two weeks of placement of the tag.

Citizens Convenience Center at 827 W. Hwy 6. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can take 6 cubic yards once per month at no charge with proof of residential billing statement and driver’s license. Brush must be separated from heavy trash to be accepted.
