Services
The Legal Department provides legal advice and recommendations to the Mayor, City Council, City Manager and other City employees.
- The City Attorney conducts legal research and drafts ordinances, resolutions, contracts, real estate documents, and all forms of legal documents for the City.
- The City Attorney prosecutes cases in municipal court and works closely with the municipal court.
- The City Attorney represents the City in certain lawsuits and performs the related work.
- The City Attorney coordinates and monitors lawsuits and claims handled by outside attorneys and claims investigators.
