Awards
The City of Alvin was awarded the 2019 Houston-Galveston Area Council Parks and Natural Areas Award for the Disc Golf Course at Briscoe Park.
Each year, H-GAC honors projects that serve as models for planning and implementation for parks and natural areas in the region. H-GAC has given more than 150 awards since the program's inception in 2006.
Kudos to the Mayor and City Council, the Alvin Parks and Recreation Department, and the Brazoria County C and R District Number 3 for their efforts in bringing this wonderful amenity to our City!
